Total Eclipse of the Heart;

Dear Diary,

Today is my first day of new job. I am currently employed under UMC Master, Intergrated Facilities Managemnet company. I am working at site, not the HQ. I am now incharged of Taylors' LakeSide Campus 's facilities maintenance management. I work in operations managements team.

First day of job, i reported at HQ early at 9am. Went through up to 4 hours training by 5 different department staffs. The responsiblities i was assigned will drive me crazy and nut! I start getting tension nw. My responsiblities are hell lots...im involved in Recruitment/Worker's Discipline (HR), Payroll Calculation/OT/Leave Calculations (Payroll), Purchasing/Petty Cash(Finance), Customer Service (Taylors). Basically i need to know and take care of the whole operation of maintaining Taylors Campus PLus our UMC's 98 workers/staffs team.

Went to the campus with my Facilities Director in the evening. Basically, the campus is still under construction..it is sooo huge...its so huge for a KL private uni college to be. According to my director, its the biggest project for Taylors also the biggest area covered for our Company to manage. Taylors actualy spent 450 millions in this 27,000 hektar campus. With the current phase of A-E blocks, a 2 hektar lake, plus 3 months later, there will be a new phase with a Hotel, a Hostel, a 50 retail shops commercial area.

When the new phase is open, UMC will be sending another 40 maintainance workers, it also mean the team i am going to lead in 3 months later will be 140 people.
I am not only liasing with our own 140 UMC workers team, i need to liase with 7000 Taylors' students and team, ready for all the complaints and services they need by these 7000 students. I am ready for more wrinkles and pimples!!!
